Zocor Drug Interactions

Among other things, Zocor drug interactions can change how your body metabolizes the drugs and alter the levels of some drugs in your blood. A few of the drugs that can potentially interact with Zocor include verapamil, cyclosporine, and amiodarone. Also, Zocor should not be taken along with grapefruit juice or grapefruit products, as doing so may increase the levels of Zocor in your blood, which can increase your risk of developing serious muscle problems like myopathy or rhabdomyolysis. Ask your healthcare provider about any drug interactions with Zocor that may apply to you.
