Zocor and PregnancyBecause Zocor could potentially cause harm to an unborn child, taking the drug during pregnancy is not recommended. Also, there is little benefit from taking Zocor while pregnant. This is because the effects of high cholesterol do not cause problems for many years or even decades, so waiting until after pregnancy to take Zocor has little effect on any long-term health risks. If you're taking Zocor and pregnancy occurs, let your healthcare provider know.
