Zitia

Were you looking for information about
Zetia? Zitia is a common misspelling of Zetia.

Zetia is a prescription medicine licensed to treat several conditions, including high cholesterol and a rare genetic condition called sitosterolemia. Zetia is effective at decreasing total cholesterol and "bad cholesterol," as well as slightly decreasing triglycerides. By itself, Zetia has little effect on "good cholesterol." While Zetia is used as a way to lower cholesterol, anyone with high cholesterol should also make certain lifestyle modifications, such as eating a low-cholesterol diet, getting regular physical exercise, and losing weight if necessary. Zetia is available in one strength (Zetia 10 mg), and comes as a tablet taken once daily. You may take your Zetia with or without food, but you are recommended to take it with a glass of water. Among the factors that may affect the dosage of Zetia your healthcare provider prescribes are the medical condition being treated, other medical conditions you may have, and other drugs you may be currently taking.
