ezetimibe) is safe for use during breastfeeding, as it is not known if it passes through breast milk in humans. Therefore, you should talk with your healthcare provider before taking this drug if you are breastfeeding or plan to start.
Can I Take Zetia While Breastfeeding?
Studies have shown that Zetia passes through breast milk in rats, although it is not known if the same is true for humans. Based on the chemical properties of the drug, it is predicted to pass through breast milk in humans. However, because much of the drug is bound to certain proteins in the blood, the amount that passes through breast milk is likely to be low.
