Without a Generic Zetia, Are There Any Alternatives?

There are several classes of cholesterol medications that can lower cholesterol. Cholesterol absorption inhibitors are one class of cholesterol medicines -- and Zetia is the only medication in this class. Several other classes of cholesterol-lowering drugs are as follows:
 
  • Statins
  • Bile acid sequestrants
  • Nicotinic acid
  • Fibrates.
