Who Should Not Take WelChol?

You should not take WelChol if you have:
 
  • An allergy to WelChol, colesevelam hydrochloride, or any of the inactive components used in making WelChol. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • A history of bowel obstructions.
     
  • High triglycerides (over 500 mg/dL).
     
  • Ever had pancreatitis caused by high triglycerides.
     

WelChol Precautions and Warnings: Final Thoughts

There are a number of people who should not take WelChol.
