Vytorin Precautions and Warnings

Who Should Not Take Vytorin

You should not take Vytorin if:
 
  • You are allergic to Vytorin, ezetimibe, simvastatin, or any of the inactive components used in making Vytorin. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.

 

  • You are taking any of the following medications:
 
 
 
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Nefazodone (Serzone®)
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®). 
 
  • You have active liver disease or unexplained high liver enzymes.
 
  • You are pregnant or nursing.
