Tricor 145 mg

 Tricor® (fenofibrate) 145 mg tablets are the strongest strength available for this medication. This medication is typically taken once a day and is used to treat high triglycerides and high cholesterol.
 
High Triglycerides
The recommended starting dose for treating high triglycerides in people with normal LDL cholesterol levels is 48 mg to 145 mg once a day. Your healthcare provider will recommend that you return after four to eight weeks to have your triglyceride levels re-checked. If your triglycerides are still not at the desirable level, your healthcare provider may choose to increase your dose or change your medication. The maximum daily dosage of Tricor is 145 mg.
 
High Cholesterol
The recommended starting dosage for people with high cholesterol, with or without high triglycerides, is  145 mg once a day. Your healthcare provider will recommend that you return after several weeks to have your cholesterol and triglyceride levels re-checked. If you have not reached your cholesterol goals at this time, your healthcare provider may choose to add a new medication to your treatment.
