Simcor and Muscle Pain

Drug Interactions

Serious muscle problems are more common when Simcor is first started or when the Simcor dosage is increased, but it can happen at any time. There are also certain medicines that can increase the risk for serious muscle problems when taken with Simcor. These medicines include:
 
  • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
  • Antifungals, such as:

 

    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Voriconazole (VFEND®)

 

  • Certain antibiotics, such as:

 

 

 

 

  • Protease inhibitors, such as:

 

 

Grapefruit juice and grapefruit products, including grapefruit supplements, should also be avoided (see Simcor and Grapefruit).
