Simcor 500/20 mg Tablets

 Simcor® (niacin extended-release/simvastatin) is a prescription drug licensed to treat high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. It comes in tablet form and is available in three different strengths, including:
 
  • Simcor 500/20 mg tablets (containing 500 mg of extended-release niacin and 20 mg of simvastatin)
  • Simcor 750/20 mg tablets (containing 750 mg of extended-release niacin and 20 mg of simvastatin)
  • Simcor 1000/20 mg tablets (containing 1000 mg of extended-release niacin and 20 mg of simvastatin).

Most people with high cholesterol typically start with Simcor 500/20 mg tablets (one tablet, once a day at bedtime with a low-fat snack). If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your Simcor dose up to a maximum of 2000/40 mg (two 1000/20 mg tablets) once a day.
