Fenofibrate dosing guidelines are different for each case, depending on the brand of fenofibrate used and whether you are taking the capsule or tablet form. Healthcare providers may also assess several other factors to help determine the appropriate dose. Factors that affect fenofibrate dosing include your age, what you are being treated for, existing medical conditions you may have, and other medications you are already taking.

Fenofibrate Dosing: An Overview

The dose of fenofibrate (Triglide®, Tricor®, Antara®, Fenoglide®, Lipofen®, or Lofibra®) recommended by your healthcare provider will vary, depending on a number of factors, including:
  • Your age
  • The medical condition being treated
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you are currently taking
  • The brand of fenofibrate and whether you are taking fenofibrate capsules or tablets.
