Lovaza® (omega-3-acid ethyl esters) is a fish oil medication commonly used for lowering very high levels of triglycerides. It is made using a 5-step refinement process that removes impurities, ensuring a safe and pure product. Although Lovaza may be more expensive than over-the-counter fish oil supplements, it contains higher levels of DHA and EPA (omega-3 fatty acids). Before using this drug, make sure to talk to your healthcare provider if you have diabetes, are pregnant, or drink more than two glasses of alcohol daily.
