Lovaza® (omega-3-acid ethyl esters) is a medicine often used for the treatment of high triglycerides. It is derived from fish oil and contains two different omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA. Lovaza capsules are available by prescription only and can be taken either once or twice daily (depending on whether you want to take it as a single dose or split it into two smaller doses). You should talk to your healthcare provider before taking this drug if you have liver disease, diabetes, or any allergies.
