Lovastatin? Lovastain is a common misspelling of lovastatin.

Lovastatin (Mevacor^®) is a prescription medicine licensed for the treatment of high cholesterol. It is also approved to prevent heart disease. Lovastatin tablets are generic and available in four different strengths.
