Livalo Drug Interactions

There are several drugs and various products that can cause negative interactions with Livalo. Some of these reactions can change how your body metabolizes the drugs and increase your risk for potentially serious problems. For instance, combining Livalo with certain antibiotics, niacin, and other statins can increase your risk for serious muscle problems, such as myopathy or rhabdomyolysis.

An Overview of Interactions With Livalo

 Livalo® (pitavastatin) is a prescription medication licensed to treat high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia or dyslipidemia). This medication may potentially interact with many other medications.
