Lipitor Problems

Many people do not experience any side effects while taking
Lipitor® (atorvastatin calcium). Problems have been reported during clinical studies, however, in which a small percentage of people experienced side effects such as muscle pain, diarrhea, headache, and joint pain.

Some of the rare but possible side effects also include hair loss, weight gain, and ringing of the ears. In clinical studies, these Lipitor problems occurred in less than 2 percent of people using the medication.

When Lipitor side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either do not require medical attention or can be treated easily. However, if you develop any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (especially if accompanied by a fever or feeling of illness), it is important to contact your healthcare provider immediately. These possible Lipitor problems could be a sign of a more serious condition.
