For people taking Lipitor, joint pain is a possible side effect. If you develop joint pain and the suggestions above are not helpful, be sure to talk with your healthcare provider. He or she can give you other recommendations. If the joint pain continues after the first couple of months, he or she may recommend adjusting the Lipitor dosage or switching to another cholesterol medication.
