Lipitor Adverse Reactions

Although most people do not experience any problems while taking
 Lipitor® (atorvastatin calcium), adverse reactions are still possible. In most cases, if reactions do occur, they tend to be minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. In fact, research studies have shown that up to 2 percent of people who were using Lipitor stopped taking the drug because of adverse reactions.
 
However, there are some adverse Lipitor reactions that require immediate medical attention. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (especially if accompanied by a fever or feeling of illness).
