Although most people do not experience any problems while taking
Lipitor® (
atorvastatin calcium), side effects are still possible. In most cases, if side effects do occur, they tend to be minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. However, there are some bad side effects of Lipitor that require immediate medical attention.
Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience serious side effects while taking Lipitor, such as unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (especially if accompanied by a fever or feeling of illness).
