Lescol Drug Interactions

Spironolactone (Aldactone, Aldactazide)
Theoretically, Lescol may decrease the level of hormones in the body. Since spironolactone can also lower hormone levels, taking these medications together may increase your risk of problems due to low hormones. Talk to your healthcare provider before combining these two medications.

Warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven)
Medications similar to Lescol can increase the risk of bleeding when combined with warfarin. When starting Lescol therapy or changing the dosage, your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your INR more closely and make any necessary adjustments. INR is a test that measures how quickly your blood clots.

Final Thoughts on Lescol Drug Interactions

It is possible that not all drug interactions with Lescol were discussed in this article. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about the interactions that may apply to you.

Also, because a number of these medicines can increase the risk of serious muscle problems, if you have any unexplained muscle pain, muscle aches, or weakness (especially if you have a fever or feel ill), contact your healthcare provider right away.
