Side Effects of Juvisync

Just like any medicine, Juvisync may cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
 
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common. If side effects do occur, most people do not need to stop taking this medicine.
 
Common side effects of Juvisync include but are not limited to:
 
  • Upper respiratory tract infections, such as the common cold
  • Headaches
  • Bronchitis
  • Abdominal (stomach) pain.
 
Keep in mind that if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if you also have a fever or a feeling of illness, it is important to contact your healthcare provider immediately. This could be a sign of a serious, life-threatening muscle problem (see Juvisync and Muscle Pain for more information).

Important Information for Your Healthcare Provider

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking this medication if you have:
 
  • A history of pancreatitis
  • Liver disease, liver failure, or a history of liver disease
  • Kidney disease or kidney failure
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.
 
Let your healthcare provider know if you are:
 
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
