Lower Cholesterol (Cont.)

Final Thoughts on Lowering Cholesterol

Cholesterol is not a bad thing -- it serves an important purpose in keeping the body healthy. Unfortunately, some people who have high cholesterol choose to ignore it, because there are no obvious symptoms. Having high levels of cholesterol for long periods of time can greatly increase your risk of serious medical problems, such as heart disease, stroke, atherosclerosis, and other heart and blood vessel problems.

It may seem difficult to lower cholesterol, but commitment and care from you and your healthcare providers can make a difference. Making a lifelong commitment to lower your level of cholesterol is a worthy goal.
