Some people may experience side effects of Cholestyramine, such as unexplained rash, stomach pain or discomfort, and gas. In most cases, these side effects are minor and do not require medical attention. Some Cholestyramine side effects, however, may need to be reported to a healthcare provider, including unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness; difficulty swallowing; unexplained bleeding; or bloody or black, tarry stools.
