It comes in tablet form and is available in numerous strengths, including:
- Caduet 2.5 mg tablets
- Caduet 5 mg tablets
- Caduet 10 mg tablets.
Each of these tablets also comes in various doses. For example, the 5 mg tablets come in a 5/10 mg strength, a 5/20 mg strength, and a 5/80 mg strength. The first number in the strength refers to the
amlodipine component of the medication, while the second number refers to the
atorvastatin component.
Since there are many different strengths of Caduet, the dosage must be individualized and adjusted for each person. The recommended dose of amlodipine ranges from 2.5 mg to 10 mg a day, depending on a variety of factors. The recommended dose of atorvastatin ranges from 10 mg to 80 mg a day, also depending on several factors.
