Numerous different strengths are available for this medication. Caduet 2.5 mg options include:
- Caduet 2.5/10 mg
- Caduet 2.5/20 mg
- Caduet 2.5/40 mg.
The first number in the strength refers to the amlodipine component of the medication, while the second number refers to the atorvastatin component. Besides Caduet 2.5 mg options, the drug is also available in three 5 mg options and four 10 mg options.
Since there are many different strengths of Caduet, the dosage must be individualized and adjusted for each person. The recommended dose of amlodipine ranges from 2.5 mg to 10 mg a day, depending on a variety of factors. The recommended dose of atorvastatin ranges from 10 mg to 80 mg a day, also depending on several factors.
