Side Effects of Altoprev

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Altoprev; but not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it well. When side effects occur, in most cases they are minor, meaning they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. If side effects do occur, most people do not need to stop their medicine.

Keep in mind that if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness -- especially if they occur with a fever or you feel ill -- it is important to contact your healthcare provider immediately. This could be a sign of a serious, life-threatening muscle problem.
