Advicor and Pregnancy

Final Thoughts

The effects of high cholesterol do not cause problems for many years or even decades. Therefore, if a woman does not take cholesterol medicine during pregnancy, it likely will have little impact on any long-term risks. Since there is little benefit and a very real risk during pregnancy, your healthcare provider will probably recommend that you not take Advicor while pregnant. If you are thinking of becoming pregnant and are taking Advicor, please make sure that you discuss the issue with your healthcare provider.
