Drug Interactions With Advicor and Muscle Pain

Serious muscle problems are more common when Advicor is first started or when the dosage is increased, but it can happen at any time. In addition, certain medicines can increase the risk for serious muscle problems when taken with Advicor. These medicines include:
 
  • Amiodarone (Cordarone®, Pacerone®)
  • Antifungals, such as:
     
    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Voriconazole (VFEND®)
 
 
 
 
 
Grapefruit juice and grapefruit products, including grapefruit supplements, should also be avoided (see Grapefruit and Advicor).
